Public Health England Safer radiotherapy Update

Dear Colleague,   Save the date: 19th October 2017   The Patient Safety in Radiotherapy Steering Group (PSRT) are pleased to announce a workshop on the adoption of the Development of learning from radiotherapy errors, on the 19th October 2017 at the Novotel, Birmingham City Centre. The document, published in December 2016, is available at: www.gov.uk/government/publications/development-of-learning-from-radiotherapy-errors   This is an excellent opportunity for the RT community to engage with the PSRT on the reporting and learning from radiotherapy error and near miss events. The workshop will include exercises in the application of the refined and new taxonomies proposed in Development of learning, with feedback sessions and the opportunity to share experience of error analysis. Registration will be free of charge for 1-2 delegates per radiotherapy department and booking is essential as spaces are limited.
